University of Melbourne

Melbourne University is an Australian Public University established in year 1953. It is located in Melbourne, Victoria, and it was founded by Audit-General and Finance Minister Hugh Childers. The main campus of the university is located in Parkville, though there are many other campuses in Melbourne. There are twelve colleges in the main campus that provide students with sports, academic and cultural programs. Melbourne has made an alliance with Walter and Elijah Hall Institute of Medical Research, Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research and the Graton Institute. It has collaborated with many research centers. It is interesting to know that four Australian Prime Ministers and five Governors have completed their education from this university. The University has been awarded Australia's Best University Award by Times Higher Education, Academic Ranking of World Universities and National Taiwan University Rankings. Students are offered various courses by the university, who want to pursue graduation, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Elizabeth is the Vice Chancellor of Alexander University. The Council of the University is to take care of the Vice-Chancellors, such as recruiting the Vice Chancellor, principal and taking important decisions for the benefit of the organization. The purpose of the university is to be counted among the best universities. Well-experienced professors encourage students to research and learn.
