 Introduction

The roles and responsibilities of the social worker over the issues of violence against women perpetrated by the men partner will be reflected in the study. This issue has been found as a social disaster at present time. Therefore, I have chosen this topic of violence against women of present time has been perpetrated by their men partner. In this study, I will be analysing the purposes of ethical theories critically over the respective issue. Aspects, as well as impacts of ethical theories according to social work over the selected issue, will be discussed in the study.

Ethical Frameworks to Social Work Case Study

According to philosophy, deontological theory of ethics has put a special emphasis on the relationship of morality and duties of the actions taken by humans. According to this ethical theory, I have analysed that in this type of ethics each action has been considered to be good with respect to morality. However, it has also been seen from the words of Vitell & Hunt (2016), that the outcomes of the actions taken under this ethical theory have not been taken into consideration, whether these are good or not. I have seen that deontological theory of ethics has enabled a clear statement about equality in gender, respective of all the spheres in the field of life. As per the statements of Beckett, Maynard & Jordan (2017), it can be said that this also has put an effort to reject all kinds of violence against women and equal rights of women in the society have been made ensured. The respective theory represents the responsibility of the operating government to take care of mental as well as physical enjoyment of the women, irrespective of gender discrimination. As per deontological theory of ethics, it can be said that gender inequality leads to social inequality, disparity, poverty and also hopelessness. As per the words of Michau et al. (2015), it can be said that in the societies of Australian region, gender discrimination and violence against women still can be found.

At the time of involving any action with respect to deontological theory of ethics, I have seen a wider scenario of whether the actions taken by the social workers have practical impact or not. The selected topic of violence against women perpetrated by their male partners can be put away by applying the actions of deontological ethics. According to the words of Reamer (2015), it can be said that this leads the social workers in resolving the issues and bring out the positive attributes of the actions of the social workers. According to the respective theory of ethics, it can be said that the barriers of social work can be omitted only with the help of good actions taken into consideration by the relative social workers.

I have seen that utilitarian theory of ethics has been made on the basis of the ability of an individual in predicting the consequences of human actions. Choosing utilitarian theory of ethics represents that the individual as a social worker has aimed at generating highest level of benefits in implementing the ethical theory in the selected scenario of social work. It has also been found that the respective theory of ethics considers the good actions as well as the good outcomes in the context of the actions taken by the social workers (Csiernik & Birnbaum, 2017). As per the concept of utilitarian theory of ethics I have found that there are two kinds of utilitarianism, which have been known as rule utilitarian and act utilitarian.

The decision maker in the action of making ethical decision has been seen to consider the act utilitarian. According to Birnbaum & Lach (2014), utilitarian theory of ethics helps the social workers to gain maximum good outcomes in the field of social work. However, I have also seen that this theory has not always concerned with the benefits, autonomy or justice for the service users of social works (Luetge, Armbrüster & Müller, 2016).

On the other hand, it has been seen that rule utilitarian theory of ethics has been taken into consideration for the implications of law in implementation of the chosen actions. This theory of utilitarianism also has been found to be concerned with the fairness of the actions put into practice by the social workers (Habermas, 2018). However, I have seen that there are disadvantages of rule utilitarian theory of ethics, as this is unable to predict the certain outcome of the taken actions. This uncertainty of outcomes can lead the social workers as well as the victims into unethical drawbacks, in case the made choice of action has not been found beneficial for both the parties (Hooker, 2017).

Awareness of role of ethical theories on decision making of ethical theories respective of social work

I have seen that the social workers of Australian Association of Social Workers have the tendency to prefer ethical theories for implementing the ethical principles related to the social worker. It has been seen that the social workers have been putting their efforts into arguing over four distinct major contexts of ethical theories (Lin, 2017). These theories are known as deontological theory of ethics, care theory of ethics, right theory of ethics and virtue theory of ethics. However, there has been found a discrepancy at the time of providing justification of the ethical theories that have been chosen by the social workers. On the basis of justification of the ethical theories, the selected theories are being ranked according to the ethical principles, which have been intended to put into action. It has been found that the maximum preferred ethical theory is deontological theory of ethics (Weick, 2015). This is because; the respective ethical theory reflects the intention of rights, duties and overall mortality. From the concept of deontological theory I have also found that at the time of confrontation of specific implementation of the theory, the most frequently selected concepts of the social workers are related to the results, utility, and consequences. These concepts have been encountered with proper implementation of utilitarian theory, which has also been known as deontological theory (Edwards & Addae, 2015).

It has been seen that the ethical decisions of Australian Association of Social Workers have been made by implementing few steps. These are preparing an expected activity and introducing those, checking the values of the activities to be considered. This also considers the professional values as well as the code of ethics, set by the regulatory body. Ethical and professional values have also been taken into consideration regarding the specific practice of code of ethics of the governing body. The relative social workers also choose a suitable model for sustainable decision-making process. Deontological theory of ethics has been found in putting a special emphasis on building the relationship between the moralities along with duties of the actions taken by humans. As per this ethical theory, I have found that in this kind of ethical principle, all the human actions have been considered as good with respect to morality. It also has also been found that the outputs of the human actions taken under the respective ethical theory have not been taken into consideration, whether these actions are good or not (Rushton et al. 2017).

In the context of implementation of ethical decision-making model, the social workers have gone through a group discussion on the violence against women of social work. From the concept of ethical decision-making process, I also have found that the social workers have the intention to find the possible opportunities for the practice of applying ethical decision-making model. Furthermore, it can be found that the respective participants of the social workers have been intending to find the ethical dilemmas according to the practice of preventing violence against women perpetrated by their male partners. The process of preparing ethical decision also has been found with the aim of identifying the trouble. Ethical theories depict to involve the supervisors as well as the social workers, who have been found to face the dilemmas with respect to the process of decision-making. The decision maker, in the context of preparing ethical decision, has been seen to consider the act utilitarian for implementing the chosen action in a sustainable manner. This is because; the act utilitarian theory of ethics has been found to help the social workers in achieving maximum good outcomes in the field of social work.

In the context of confrontation of ethical decision-making process, the relative ethical theories have been found with greater impacts on the actions taken by the social workers. From the process of ethical decision making, it has been seen that the ethical theories have made the social worker to identify the issues in the selected scenario of relative social work. Chosen ethical theories lead the social workers to face the challenges of present ethical decision that has been made by the respective body. It has also been found that the ethical decisions, which are made by the social workers, have been figured by the process used in resolving the ethical dilemmas and the final decision maker (Turner-Daly & Jack, 2017). To develop a specific ethical decision for the respective social work, the ethical theories have been seen to put the relative social workers to analyse the issues appeared due to the decision-making process of past time. This will eventually lead the social worker in reducing the errors in the process of decision making.

Provide evidence on proper uses of the range of the literature that informs an integrated and well-articulated argument, addressing all the aspects of essay questions

From the context of theory of ethics, it has been seen that the ethical theories play crucial roles in ethical decision-making process to put the actions according to the relative social work. In the context of implementation of ethical decision-making model, the social workers have been seen to go through a group discussion on preventing the violence against women perpetrated by their male partners of social work. From the concept of ethical decision-making process, I also have found that the social workers have the intention to find the possible opportunities for the practice of applying ethical decision-making model. In the concept of ethical decision-making process, the decision makers consider the theories of ethics in representing the ethical principles. Social workers have been found to go through argument over choosing the accurate theory of ethics with respect to specific practice of the actions. It has been found that there may appear discrepancy at the time of providing justification of the ethical theories. The theories have been chosen by the social workers for implementing the chosen action. On the basis of justification of the theory of ethics, the selected theories are being ranked according to the ethical principles, which have been intended to put into action. In the context of making effective and sustainable decisions the social workers have been found to consider utilitarianism. Specifically, act utilitarian theory of ethics has been found with more effort for predicting maximum good outcomes with good actions (Turner-Daly & Jack, 2017). Furthermore, rule utilitarian theory of ethics helps the decision makers to implement the logic as well as law in implementing the actions for the respective social work (Hooker, 2017). From the concept of theory of ethics the roles and the responsibilities of the social workers in the decision making process for the relative social work and also help the social workers in considering the actions.
