According to the research of Aminzadeh et al, (2010), it has been found that the domestic home is the best location for the care provision of the persons suffering from dementia. Therefore, the dementia people must be kept in a friendly environment or in a domestic environment where they can feel that they are still at home. From the research of Askham et al, (2007), it has been found that the home or domestic environment is the best possible environment in which the best treatment can be provided to the patients suffering from dementia. The environment must be made in such a way so that it remains flexible and can be changed according to the requirements. The dementia patients require continuous support along worth the suitable environment also.
According to the research of Rosenberg, Kottorp, & Nygard (2012), it can be seen that the most of the people who are suffering from dementia are cared and treated in their own home as it is the best environment where the cure can be effective. Rosenberg, Kottorp & Nygard (2012) also stated that the treatment environment is an important factor for the survival of the patients suffering from dementia and also the quality of life that they are pursuing the wellness. The research made by Sixsmith, & Gibson (2007), shows that the curers of the patient suffering from Dementia have a comparatively deceased quality of life than that of the general people. Therefore, in order to, provide the patients suffering from dementia the best possible treatment in order to provide them a quality life, the environment must be made like their home or they must treated in their own home. Now in all cases, the patients cannot be kept in home, in those cases; the environment of the treatment area must be made like their home i.e. a domestic environment.
In this project, the researcher will identify the method of making a home like environment for the patient suffering from dementia. It is difficult to ensure that all the patients feel home like environment because patients have various issues with the people living in the family.
The primary aim of this research work is to identify the method of developing a home like environment for the people suffering from dementia. Proper treatment can be given to them as only home like environment can keep the patients of dementia comfortable and they can live a quality life.
