Reflective Summary 1

The group presentation allowed in the better understanding of the importance of the interrelationship between two cultures in order to ensure that the organization is able to operate effectively in a particular country. According to the case study provided, I was able to understand the importance of change management model in an organization and the importance of an appropriate and affirmative behavior among the people working in an organization. The case study provided allowed in the identification of the key concepts that are required to incorporate change in an organization. From what I have seen in multiple companies, the employees lack a substantial amount of mutual respect among one another, which eventually decreases the growth rate of the company and influences the profit margin. It is important that the employees working in an organization must be able to develop a mutual relationship with one another and explore the corporate based culture to make sure that at the end of the day they are able to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

From what I was able to understand of the case study of Vodafone provided I was able to identify that global talent management played a key role in improving the organizational culture and ensure that all of the employees are able to initiate their participation at the work. At the initial stage, the main aim was to develop a strategy that would make sure that the employees and the leader are able to build an appropriate internal culture with the incorporation of appropriate corporate values. The case study mainly inclined towards the idea of collaborating people from two different cultural backgrounds. In addition, to ensure that the employees are able to shift towards the idea of customer –oriented approach that would highly benefit the functioning of the organization.  The global strategy of Vodafone is to ensure that they are able to provide the population with the widest coverage of mobile network and at the same time ensuring that the workforce is able to generate substantial amount of job satisfaction.

From the example of the case study, it can be cited that the organizational culture of an organization plays a key role in developing a positive sense of responsibility and enthusiasm towards the work. It also gives birth to the curiosity of an individual. For instance, if people belonging to two different cultures are working together in an organization then there is a possibility that they will have multiple thoughts about the culture and background of one another. Instead of articulating hatred, it is important that both of the individuals bond over their differences and ensure that they are able to test their potential in terms of being a loyal and hardworking employee. At the same time, the case study also focused on the development of the relationship among the employees in articulating positivism in the organization.

With the opportunity of understanding the strategies of the organizational culture of Vodafone in Egypt, I realized that acceptance is the key role that prompts in encouraging change for the betterment of the organization. My educators and peers have been able to cite the importance of realizing the objectives of an organization that allows in the identification of the individual’s key strengths that could be leveraged for the betterment of the organization. The change management model also emphasized on the desire to achieve success even if that is short term to ensure that the people are able to understand the impact of success in the motivation of the employees (Alvesson and Sveningsson, 2015). Even if the success was short term an organization must be able to achieve those goals for the betterment of the organization. The study also contributed in enhancing the importance of a homogeneous culture as according to the social demographics of the country majority of the population belongs to Islam. For a British company to operate effectively in the country it is important that both of the culture makes equal amount of contribution in understanding the essence of their culture. It also displays the fact that the people are able to accept one another in order to discover their true potential.
